Amazon US inventory analytics for Canadian brands

I help Canadian brands connect Amazon US sales, variation-level stock and replenishment decisions. The review shows where acquisition can grow, where availability limits the opportunity and where inventory ties up resources. The team gets a shared decision view rather than separate advertising and stock reports that contradict each other.

The commercial starting point

Read product demand and availability in the same commercial frame

A top-line sales change can hide very different product stories. A leading variation may have lost availability while weaker items remain overstocked; an advertising increase may support a product whose replenishment window cannot sustain it. I review the product range at the level where those decisions actually happen, not only at the account total. For a Canadian team selling on Amazon.com, reporting needs a clear US marketplace boundary. We identify which figures are in USD, how approved product costs are represented and who owns the source stock records. If the team reports commercially in another currency, the conversion method belongs in the agreed model. This prevents a currency or scope difference from being mistaken for a change in product performance.

The decisions this project should resolve

Separate variation-level demand

Map the advertised and purchased variations to the available product and stock records. Review periods of availability alongside sales so missing demand is not confused with missing inventory. Identify which products deserve further acquisition analysis and which need an operational explanation before spending decisions change.

Use coverage as a decision input

Review stock coverage with the team's lead-time, replenishment and service assumptions. There is no universal number that fits every product. The useful threshold is the one your operators can explain and act on, with an owner for the next stock or campaign decision.

Connect slow stock with commercial options

Identify inventory exposure using product role, age, demand and contribution context. Compare merchandising, offer and recovery options before defaulting to deeper discounts. Show the stock commitment behind each proposal so finance, marketing and operations can evaluate the same trade-off rather than optimize isolated metrics.

How we work

A defined scope, from evidence to the next action

The work is delivered remotely with your Canadian commercial team and the people responsible for US marketplace and inventory records. The scope defines the product range, reporting window and decision cadence. Data preparation, dashboard implementation and ongoing review can be included explicitly; physical inventory management remains with your operations owner.

Reconcile the product and stock map

Connect variation references across sales, advertising and inventory records. Check time periods, marketplace and currency before calculating decision measures. Record missing or conflicting fields with a responsible owner instead of silently treating them as zero.

Build a product decision view

Group items by commercial role and the action the team may need to take. Show demand, availability and approved economics together. Distinguish replenishment questions, acquisition opportunities and slow-stock exposure so the review leads to specific work.

Run an accountable review cycle

Assign each action to the commercial, campaign or operations owner. Record what changed and review it against the next relevant period. Keep thresholds and assumptions current as lead times, product costs or the assortment change.

Questions before we scope the work

Does this include Amazon Canada?

This brief covers Amazon US for Canadian teams. An Amazon.ca review needs its own marketplace, product economics and source-data scope. The country of the brand's headquarters does not automatically determine the marketplace included.

Can you start from exported reports?

Yes. Agreed exports are often enough to establish the product map and identify important gaps. We define the update cadence and access needed for the intended decision before proposing a more complex reporting integration.
