Contact privacy notice

This notice describes the contact form on this website. For questions about your enquiry or information you have sent, email hi@daviddemid.com.

Information you choose to send

The form asks for your name, email, business type, task and message. Company details, website and how you found me are optional. With your enquiry, the form also sends its page and placement, submission and interaction times, browser language, time zone, viewport, device category and user agent.

Where available, it includes referral URLs without query strings, campaign UTM parameters and advertising click identifiers from the URL. First-entry and last observed referral/campaign context are held in this page session's memory, not tracking cookies or a permanent visitor ID. Context is sent with the form, not as a separate background analytics stream. Reloading or closing the page resets that in-memory context. A missing referrer cannot reliably identify your original source.

Please do not include passwords, account credentials or sensitive information about your customers.

Purpose and delivery

I use the details to review your enquiry, respond and discuss possible work. The form sends the request through a Netlify server-side endpoint to a private Google Spreadsheet using Google Apps Script. I use source information to understand which pages and channels generated relevant enquiries. A contact enquiry does not subscribe you to a newsletter.

The server applies spam checks and rate limiting and records technical delivery events. If you use WhatsApp, email or the calendar instead, that service handles the information you provide under its own terms.

Full IP addresses are not stored in the enquiry spreadsheet. The server may use request IP information temporarily for spam and rate-limit checks. Hosting providers may keep their own technical logs. Access to the enquiry sheet should be restricted, and information retained only while needed to handle enquiries and legitimate project records.

Questions and requests
