Amsterdam, Netherlands / EU brands and US marketplaces

US marketplace readiness consulting for Amsterdam and EU brands

A European product range needs more than translated listings before a US marketplace launch. I help Amsterdam brand teams connect shopper understanding, assortment priorities, product evidence and operational readiness. The project turns assumptions into an explicit decision brief, with English-language deliverables and named client owners for product facts, commercial inputs and any local-language approval.

Separate market understanding from translation

An Amsterdam bedding brand might have a coherent EU range but unresolved US questions about size naming, set contents and the language shoppers use to compare materials. We review those questions alongside variation structure and the evidence behind product claims. The brand supplies approved specifications; market research identifies the product benefits and details shoppers need explained. A launch dependency register tracks stock, fulfillment and specialist reviews outside the marketing scope. English is the working and delivery language. Dutch or other local-language source material needs a client-designated reviewer to confirm interpretation, translation and final wording where used. Approval responsibilities are agreed before content moves into production.

Four decisions before scaling a marketplace offer

Marketplace product launches

Build a US shopper-intent and product-education brief with listing requirements, creative priorities and launch dependencies. Make unresolved decisions visible before setting the launch calendar, rather than treating English copy as the only readiness milestone.

Product line growth

Compare entry products and variations by customer use, differentiation and operational burden. Deliver a phased assortment recommendation that explains what belongs in the first test and what should wait for better evidence.

Amazon inventory analytics

Review demand scenarios and stock definitions with your operations team. Distinguish physical, inbound and sellable inventory, documenting which assumptions affect launch timing and media pacing. Your team validates costs and supply commitments.

Marketing and sales operations

Connect brand, product, finance and channel owners through an approval and decision workflow. Establish who resolves missing specifications, signs off commercial inputs and authorizes changes, with written follow-up rather than unowned meeting notes.

A readiness package with clear decisions and owners

Establish the evidence base

Review approved product information, current range performance, customer questions and proposed US channel assumptions. Record the source and owner of each material input, including any local-language document that requires client interpretation.

Deliver the decision pack

Produce an assortment shortlist, English positioning brief, listing-content outline and readiness register. Assign validation tasks and agree what would support a launch, a narrower test or a pause. Record outstanding client inputs with an owner and review date.

Coordinate across Amsterdam and US stakeholders

Delivery is remote. Amsterdam working-hour overlap, US review participation and asynchronous approvals are agreed in advance. The scope identifies supported markets, meeting expectations and who signs off each launch decision.

Published research and operating experience

My jersey cotton launch study for a US bedding company connected search language with product education and creative briefs. The completed research gave the launch team search-language groups, benefit themes and channel-specific content direction. In the product operations study, I facilitated cross-functional bedding-team discussions and turned them into decision criteria, recaps and assigned follow-up. The workflow connected product evaluation, inventory, returns and commercial decisions with the people responsible for execution.

Do you provide Dutch-language delivery?

Deliverables are in English. For Dutch or other local-language output, we agree a separate workflow with a client-designated reviewer responsible for language approval.

Does readiness include tax or product compliance advice?

Your qualified advisers handle tax and product compliance assessments. I track the relevant dependencies, owners and approval status in the readiness register used for launch planning.

Do you work from an Amsterdam office?

No. I work remotely with your team. Amsterdam working-hour overlap, US reviews and approval timing are agreed at the start of the project.
