Making $1.45M in creator-attributed sales actionable
I turned creator-channel reporting into a purchase-and-cost review, connecting $1.45M in attributed sales and 39,866 attributed orders with the commissions behind them.

- Contribution
- Creator-channel analysis within a shared marketing reporting workstream
Delivered result
A structured creator-performance review covering $1,448,933.07 in Creator Connections attributed sales, 39,866 attributed orders and $145,416.91 in recorded commission costs. Purchases, traffic and program economics became separate, usable decision signals.
The result
I connected creator activity to the metrics needed for a commercial review: attributed orders, sales and recorded costs. The completed framework gave the team a practical way to evaluate a $1.45M creator-attributed sales channel, rather than reporting impressions and clicks as if they were the outcome.
This was the creator-analysis workstream within the same bedding-company engagement described in the Amazon channel case.
The challenge
Creator activity can generate impressions, clicks, product interest and orders, but those signals do not tell the same story. The useful question was how to connect the creator program to business reporting without treating attention as revenue.
Scope of the work
I worked on creator-channel analysis and cross-functional reporting, connecting traffic, attributed purchases, commissions and efficiency in the wider marketing review. Creator relationships and channel execution remained with their respective owners.
Historical channel snapshot
For 1 October 2025 through 14 February 2026, the common Amazon channel export reports:
| Channel | Attributed sales | Recorded cost |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon Creator Connections | $1,448,933.07 | $145,416.91 |
| Levanta | $57,794.40 | $10,934.71 |
Creator Connections also reports 39,866 attributed orders. This channel view sits within the shared Amazon reporting framework described in the channel-analytics case.
The measurement distinction
Creator Connections' reported sales-to-cost ratio was 9.96x, while Levanta's was 5.29x. For creator reporting, the cost is primarily commission. A relatively stable commission rate naturally produces a relatively stable sales-to-commission ratio.
These ratios compare attributed sales with recorded channel costs. Full program evaluation also considers samples, creative production, team time and returns, keeping commission efficiency and commercial contribution clear.
The practical analysis therefore separated:
- Traffic and content activity.
- Purchase outcomes attributed by the platform.
- Commission and recorded channel costs.
- Broader contribution and the costs missing from the view.
Connecting performance with scenario planning
A Creator Connections planning workbook models revenue growth, creator contribution, commission rates and paid placements. It extends the performance review into practical budget and cost scenarios.
The useful planning questions are:
- What happens to recorded cost when commission rates change?
- How much of the modeled contribution depends on attributed sales rather than incremental demand?
- Are fixed placements and commissions included consistently?
- How does creator cost sit alongside sponsored ads, DSP and external acquisition?
The planning structure makes assumptions explicit and connects fixed placements, commissions and other acquisition costs in one review. Historical channel results provide the baseline for evaluating those scenarios.
What this enabled
The team gained a purchase-led review structure, a consistent comparison of Creator Connections and Levanta, and a clearer separation of commission efficiency from full program profitability. I made the creator channel easier to evaluate alongside sponsored advertising and external acquisition.
